Be careful what you wish for, or dream up.Years before she was forced to commission a 24-karat gold-plated wheelchair
 following hip surgery,
Lady Gaga was already indulging a fetish for medical equipment in some of her early videos.
In the 2009 "Vertigo"-tribute "Paparazzi"
video, Gaga is tossed off a balcony by her lover and, in the next
scene, is shown wearing a blinged-out designer neck brace. A dancer then
carries her out of her limo and deposits her in, let's be honest, a
pretty boring, standard wheelchair.
Pretty soon, the neck brace comes off and Gaga slips into something a
bit more uncomfortable in the form of a metal bustier and matching
helmet, and hobbles down the purple carpet on a pair of crutches.
Talk about life imitating art!

Along
with her jones for ankle-breaking high heels, before she actually
needed a surgeon's attention, Mother Monster made it clear that she also
has a thing for hospitals, nurses and all things medical-related.
Remember 2011's "Marry the Night"
video? That nearly 14-minute epic opens with patient Gaga, wearing a
hospital gown and white stilettos, being wheeled on a gurney through the
halls of what looks like a sanitarium. She ends up in a surgical
theater outfitted with a white upright piano, where the nurse who
delivered her as a baby assures Gaga that everything is going to be
okay.
In that clip, though, she seemed more concerned about being a
star than with her back injury or the stern warning about "no intimacy"
 for two weeks.
